Migos’ second album, Culture, is facing a holdup, according to Quavo.
The Atlanta MC expressed his frustration towards 300 Entertainment, the group’s label, on Twitter and called for fans to chime in with their own grievances.
Last month, the group announced that Culture is the title of its sophomore album and said the LP would drop before October rolled around.
Quavo and Takeoff reported a year ago, while Offset was in jail, that the follow-up to Migos’ debut album, Y.R.N. Yung Rich Nation was finished. They were just waiting for the perfect time to release it, especially with Offset’s freedom being a factor. The member was released in December.
Migos has had a rocky journey with 300, announcing it was off the label a year ago, but has yet to formally depart. Offset claimed that former 300 CEO Lyor Cohen was behind the holdup in the release of MigosThuggin, a collaborative project with Young Thug. Cohen left the label a few weeks ago to become YouTube’s Global Head of Music.
The trio did, however, sign a management deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music last month.
